The Dual-Pier System

How an A-Custom foundation repair works

The Dual-Pier System has the highest load-bearing capacity of any pier we install. It places double support under the foundation beam, and the concrete cylinders will not rust or break down over time.

  1. Free quote

A qualified professional inspects the foundation and explains exactly what is happening and why. No scare tactics, and we never sell a repair you do not need.

  2. Excavate access holes

We dig access holes around the affected perimeter, about every six feet, reaching three to four feet below the base of the foundation.

  3. Set the dual piers

Two concrete cylinders are pressed twelve inches apart, using the weight of the structure, down through unstable clay and shale to solid bearing strata.

  4. Lift and level

Hydraulic jacks raise the foundation evenly, closing cracks and bringing doors, windows, and floors back toward level.

  5. Lock it in

The jacks are replaced with concrete, the foundation is restored to like-new condition, and your lawn, shrubs, and landscaping are put back.

  6. Document and warranty

You receive a third-party engineering report and a lifetime transferable warranty covering foundation movement for the life of the structure.

FAQ

Foundation repair questions, answered

How much does foundation repair cost in the Fort Worth area?

Cost depends on the structure. Every home is different, so the foundation has to be inspected by a qualified professional before we can give you an accurate price. That is why the quote is free. We put the scope and the number in writing before any work begins.

What are the signs my foundation needs repair?

Watch for stair-step cracks in brick, cracks in interior sheetrock above doors and windows, doors and windows that stick, gaps where the wall meets the trim, and sloping or uneven floors. If you see any of these, get the foundation looked at promptly.

What is the Dual-Pier System?

It is the repair method we specialize in. We drive two concrete cylinders twelve inches apart down through unstable clay and shale to solid bearing strata, giving double support under the foundation beam. It has the highest load-bearing capacity of any pier we install and carries a lifetime transferable warranty.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. The Dual-Pier System is backed by a lifetime transferable warranty covering foundation movement for the life of the structure. Because it transfers to the next owner, it is an asset when you sell the home.

How long can I wait to repair my foundation?

When a foundation begins to fail you should address it promptly. Waiting can cause damage to plumbing, sheetrock, and the rest of the house, which makes the repair larger and more expensive.

Will repairing one section cause damage to other areas?

No. Fixing the damaged area will not cause other places around the foundation to fail.

What is the best time of year to repair a foundation?

As soon as possible. The time of year does not make a difference, but the longer the foundation moves the more interior and plumbing damage it can cause.

What will my lawn and landscaping look like afterward?

We do our best to preserve all landscaping. We relocate any plants or shrubs in the area to be repaired before we start, and we replace your lawn, shrubs, and landscaping to their original condition when the work is finished.
